Our customers usually take the tourist-class of scheduled and charter flights to Egypt. The international flight time on average takes 3,5 hours. We can arrange flights for both single customers and groups as well and can help with transfers in Egypt. From Europe direct charter flights are available on a weekly basis to Hurghada.

About flights inquire at + 36 30 748 8331 (Mistral Travel Agency) on telephone. Weight limits for luggage vary greatly, depending on the airline company’s actual policy.

In case your luggage gets lost or damaged, it is your responsibility to file a report at the lost property office of the airport upon your arrival, where a voucher (P.I.R.) needs to be filled to keep records in order to initiate further procedures. Your official claim for lost or damaged property must be submitted to the airline company of your flight.

Arrival in Hurghada:
Your passport must be valid for a period of 6 months from the date of your returning home. To enter Egypt you must hold a valid visa, which is a sticker, supposed to be applied on the proper page of your passport. Tourist visas in Egypt are valid for a limited 1 month period. They can be purchased at the airport upon your arrival and they cost 25 USD a person. You can purchase them at the Bank-window before you reach the customs office. In order to clear the customs office, you will need to fill out a registration form which is a questionnaire for statistical purpose. You can pick up this form at the counters of the customs office or you can ask for them at the Bank-window or directly from the customs officer.

Airport regulations are rather strict for safety reasons. Our crew members are not allowed to enter the transit-zone, thus they can pick you up only at the gates outside the airport. They will wait for you holding a “Lighthouse” sign board. Our tour guides will show you which bus to take and you’ll be given all necessary information. In case you need a local telephone card or Internet card, you can purchase them at the Vodafone store at the airport. A 3GB Internet card costs around 100 pounds (depending on the actual company).

Health issues
It is strongly advised to have passenger insurance as well as scuba diving insurance. We have a first-aid kit on board and also carry the most necessary medicines. By complying with the most basic hygienic regulations, all acute diarrhea cases can be avoided. It is strongly advised not to drink tap water or to eat unpeeled fruits. Excitement, nervousness, sudden changes in weather and eating habits may all cause digestive problems and stomach ache. We are not qualified physicians, but we do not encourage the use of Antinal in most cases. Sometimes a single shot of alcoholic beverage can help an upset stomach irritated by some local spices or food. When it’s scorching hot, it is not advisable to stay in the sun extensively, nor is it a good idea to drink something ice-cold. One basic rule is: “don’t eat what you don’t desire”. In case you need to consult a physician, you have to pay for the expenses on the spot (preserve the voucher and get reimbursement from your insurance company later).
